Trending hair salon at Itaewon that Sam Okyere goes to! [Guesthouse Daughters2017.05.02]

(Foreign Language Institute) We want to hear what the students of the Foreign Language Institute want. What would you like to do with us today, David? Ever since I was young my mom made me "sangga." - What? / - Cooked. Oh, cooked for you. What's sangga? It's a dish made of corn.

I am reminded of myself when I got here eight years ago when I see David. I didn't have any friends, and I didn't know where Ghanaian restaurants were. Today, I'd like to eat good African food with him. That's why I invited some of my friends over.

Thank you. Your friends? Why? "He's from my gym." Why did you invite them without getting our permission? That's good. (For David) Natasha and Anna. What do you two want? I want borscht that my mom made me.

- What? / - Borscht. (Red soup made of beet) I haven't been to Russia for 3 years and I miss her cooking. It's been 3 years since you've been to Russia. What about you, Anna? Blini.

Blini. (Russian pancakes made of buckwheat powder) It's like crepe. It's thinner than crepe. Lastly, Ani from Armenia.

It's been almost a year since I've come here. But there aren't any Armenian restaurants in Korea. I really want to eat Armenian food, but there is none. What should we do for you? It's Easter in Armenia.

I found an Armenian family living in Suwon. You found an Armenian family in Suwon? They invited me. They're holding a small party for Easter. Right.

Right. So there would be many Armenians there today. Yes. So I invited my friends, too.

You have friends, too? - How many? / - Two. This is what Sam told me. Armenia is the country of beautiful women. (Embarrassed) Armenia is the country of beautiful women.

(Perplexed) Tell us now. Be honest, Sam. Is it going to be Armenia or Cameroon? Be honest. There's no time.

(What will Okyere choose?) Is it going to be Armenia or Cameroon? I can't betray David. Brotherhood. Brotherhood to the end. He is so sly.

Let's do our best. ("Russia" Misook & Sugeun team) ("Armenia" Siyeon & Iljung team) ("Cameroon" Dahey & Okyere & Yuan team) (They're off to cook the students' hometown dishes) Sangga is corn porridge, right? Yes. Sangga is not Korean, right? (No, it doesn't mean an apartment complex) The point is you have to call your mom and we have to follow her exact recipe. That's how we try to satisfy you.

Is your mom from Cameroon? Yes. My dad is Korean. Oh, your dad is Korean. Sangga is Cameroonian and your mom cooks it.

We should call your mom and get her recipe. Is your dad in Cameroon? Or in Korea? In Cameroon. He lives with your mother in Cameroon. - You came to Korea by yourself? / - Yes.

You should learn the Cameroonian dance. There's a Cameroonian dance? - Coupe-Decale. / - Coupe-Decale. Coupe-Decale? Oh.

Coupe-Decale. Coupe-Decale. (Great pronunciation) - Did I pronounce it well? / - Yes. I pronounced it right.

Coupe-Decale. Young people love this song these days. It's the hottest group. (Music video of "Coupe-Decale") (Fluent) (You're good) You're good.

What does it mean? Men must get close to women. (Oh) (Whoa) (Oh my) It's too sexual. It's too erotic. (But she can't take her eyes off it) (She's feeling the African rhythm) You know Maitre Gims, right? Maitre Gims.

Yes. (Another hottest African musician) (Sapes comme jamais- Maitre Gims) (Sapes comme jamais~) (Men must dress up well) (Music video of "Sapes comme jamais") (She's releasing her hidden African groove) Why am I enjoying this? I want to go to Ghana! It's totally my style. It's nice. (Dahey, come on!) We must keep our hair short to look good.

(Black people's pride in their hairline) The angle is very important. So you don't like his hair right now? I don't think he knows a good barber. Where do you get your haircut? - Haircut. / - Hairdresser.

Hairdresser. Nearby my place. There's a beauty parlor. I'll take you to the place that I go to.

Again? Today is David's day. I want to do everything for me. Really? Thank you. Your friend doesn't own the place, does he? We're close friends.

Seriously? Everybody knows me there. I admit. You're quite impressive, Sam. Please stop here.

(They've arrived in Itaewon) (A small global village in Seoul, Itaewon) Welcome to Itaewon. Please show us around. (Welcome to Itaewon by Okyere) Dahey, do you come here often? No. Do you come often? It's my second time.

Itaewon is awesome. Really? There are many great restaurants. And there are so many things to do. We're in Korea.

Why am I asking you what Itaewon is like? We must get David a haircut. The beauty parlor is here. There's a barbershop and a beauty parlor. I don't need to get a haircut.

Look at this place. We're suddenly not in Korea. (The entrance looks very exotic) (Okyere's friends happen to come out) Are we really in Korea? Hi. Hello.

(Nice to meet you) Are you Sam's friends? Yes. (Do you speak Korean?) (A little) (Another friend?) Is he your friend, too? No? He's a stranger. (Perplexed) Come in. Let's go.

Oh my. (Looks very exotic) Wow! (The center of this zone is Sam "Ochili") This is what you're going to do. (They must be going to a club after doing their hair) - It's gotten too quiet. / - This place is nice.

I usually get my hair done here. (After passing through an exotic alley) (There's a hot beauty parlor for black people) It doesn't feel like I'm in Korea. Hello. Hello.

Excuse me. (Dahey is in a new world) (Okyere's friends are everywhere) He knows everybody. You can have a seat here, Dahey. Be comfortable.

There are so many customers here. It's a hot place on weekends. (Many types of hairstyles) Choose what you'd like. I like no.

3. That doesn't look good. No. 12.

No. 12. David likes no. 12.

He wants the no. 12 Style He made a good choice. No. 12 Is very similar to the shape of David's head.

- No. 12? / - Yes. - He must know it. / - He knows.

They all look the same to me. I can't tell what the differences are but he knows it well. (The customer is done) Is it David's turn now? (David, you're up next) He can speak French. (Today's hair designer) I'll take off your jacket.

Relax. (This is Korea... Who am I?) (It's an unbelievable situation) I don't know what I'm going through right now. (She dances to a song she's never heard before) Why am I enjoying this? (She gets a tour guide from foreigners) (This is strange) (I'm the only Korean in Korea) Are we in Korea? (What is this strange place?) (I've never experienced this before...) This is something you've never experienced.

This is Korea, but I'm the foreigner. There's Chinese here. How could be this? This is so strange. (Hairstyling begins) (Please make him look good) You seem to be nervous.

Are you alright? Oh! (What's going on here?) He's brushing David's hair. That looks quite strange. Doesn't it hurt? Does it feel good? (Amazed) It's amazing how he brushes his hair. (Customized tool for customers' hair) It's different.

(Amazed) I never knew a haircut could be this interesting. David looks very satisfied. (This is just my style) David, you're okay with it? Call me often. (The highlight of the today's haircut) He's doing it right now.

Making the hairline. (Black people's hairstyle is all about hairline) Hairline is very important. I don't think he knows a good barber. (Okyere's favorite place / Professional hairline place) (Focused) (That's it) (She's impressed by the professional's touch) (They're the best with hairlines) (Detailed hairline) (David smiles big with his hairline) You look so much better.

You look so cute. Let's see. You look great. (Everybody seems satisfied) (Clean) You look like a poodle.

I own a poodle. I must pay. (Dahey will pay for David all day) - What do you think? / - I love it. You like it? Now that he looks good, where are we headed? I said my friends are here, right? Let's go meet my friends.

Sangga. We must buy the ingredients. Let's go. (Thank you.

We'll be back next time) Is it okay to barge into your friend's place? Wait. Is there a party going on? They're having fun. (It's party time) Is anybody home? Is anybody home? (Immersed in dancing) (Knock knock) You told your friends that we're coming, right? Someone's opening the door. (Nice to see you, buddy) Come in.

Come in. Hello. (It's nice to meet you...) Hello. Hello.

Nice to meet you. (Slightly awkward) - Hello. / - David, come in. Hello.

They were already holding a party. Beer. Beer. Beer.

Beer. That's awesome. Drunken broadcasting. It's 4 p.M.

And they're already drinking. Is it okay to be drunk on television? (After they say hello to each other) (They become close quite fast) Were you two friends before? He's younger than I am. How nice. He's your older brother.

(It's like separated family members reunited) You two look so happy. Where did you get this? - You brought it from home? / - Yes. From where? (The jembe is from Africa) You brought it by plane from your country? (This video...) (I know this song) One, two, three, four. (Let's have fun) (Again, Party time) (She's letting her mind go?) (Coming soon).

Toy Hair Salon ! Toys and Dolls Fun with Rapunzel Hairstyles & Draw N Style Hair Color Markers

Mother Gothel: Rapunzel, Rapunzel!! Rapunzel: Yes mother Gothel, I'm here. Mother Gothel: Look what I brought you for your eighteenth birthday. Rapunzel: Oh mother Gothel its beautiful I love it. Mother Gothel: It's for you to take care of your hair, my source of eternal youth (laughs evilly) I hope this would keep you entertained and will get that silly idea of seeing the world out of your head.

Rapunzel: Oh mother Gothel I love it I love it, thank you very much. Mother Gothel: Goodbye, Rapunzel Rapunzel: Goodbye mother Gothel. Oh this is so much fun. I'll do my hair before I have a chance to
go see the world.

(Music) Storieswithdolls: Hi boys and girls, today we will be playing with these Rapunzel toys and I am so excited because I love long hair. Today we are going to create many hair styles for Rapunzel. Lets start!! First lets open the beauty salon. The back of the box tells us what we can do with this toy.

(Music) We're almost done, putting Rapunzel's beauty salon together. It comes with all kinds of fun things and accessories. These hooks over here for hanging the scissors. This brush with Rapunzel on the back.

Shampoo and conditioner which we can put here on this shelf that is decorated like Rapunzel's tower. And right here in this tower we can put this
little piece that looks like strands of Rapunzels hair, and thats exactly where we will hang
these strands of hair that we can add to Rapunzels hair. It also comes with this Pascal hair clip. Lets put it here.

Boys and girls, how exciting!! Rapunzels beauty salon is ready. Lets open the doll so we can start styling
her hair. I really like this doll because it comes with these markers and these stencils so that we can draw on her hair. Well I guess the first thing that came out
of the box is this comb, now here's the doll.

I love her transparent glittery shoes. They remind me of Cinderellas glass slippers. It comes with this barrette in the shape of
a magic flower. It also comes with two more barrettes, one with sun that is typical of Rapunzel and this one with the flower again.

It comes with this magic mirror that can be
converted into a stencil. We put it in Rapunzels hair and close it. And here we can color her hair with this marker, it comes with two more stencils that we can use and these two markers. Now for the fun part lets start making
hair styles for Rapunzel.

I'm going to take a strand of hair from here, one from here and I am going to add this barrette. And now I'm going to do the same by taking a strand of hair from here and another from here, and I'm going to add this one. Finally I am going to take a strand of hair from here and another from here and I'm going to put this barrette. Here is how the hair style turned out.

Lets call it Spring Fest. Now we are going to take two strands from
the front again. But this time thicker. I'm going to twist them, I'm going to bring them together, and I'm going to continue twisting them until they form a bun.

With this leftover hair, I'm going to clip
it to a strand of hair from down here using this barrette. Lets comb her hair...And this is her hair
style. We'll call this one...Glamour nights. How about if we do another one? This time we're going to take all the hair
in the front and we're going to add the braid.

Now lets take half of the hair that was
left over and circle the braide around it. We'll secure her hair with a sun clip,
and here it is, all done. We'll call this hair style Rapunzels
Flower and Sun. For this last one I'm going to cheat a bit,
because the set doesnt come with a rubber band but I am going to use this one.

I'm going to make a pony tail, tie it down here. Then I'm going to make a space in the middle and pass the hair through the space. And lets add the Pascal clip. We will call this one, Pascal on vacation.

And now, lets pretend to cut her hair. We connect the two flowers like this and attach it to the hair here. Now her hair is really long. We're going to cut her hair.

Oh no!! We cut Rapunzel's hair! (Laugh) Just kidding friends, we can put it back and make her hair very long. Or we can also use it to decorate her hair
with different colors. Now what do you think if we draw hearts to
match the highlights in her hair? We clip the hair, we put the magic mirror,
and, let's color! Ready! Lets see how it looks!! Oh look how nicely the heart turn out!! Now lets try the purple, oh a purple heart!! And now her hair is purple and pink! Rapunzel: (laugh) I'm having so much fun with all these things. (Laugh) Lets see what this could be.

Lets see, let leave this here. Oh it sprays water, it must be some sort of
shower head to wash my hair. (Footsteps) Huh, what was that? Flynn: Hi Rapunzel! Rapunzel: Flynn! What a surprise! Flynn: I was passing by and I said, I should visit that cute girl from the tower, ha ha but I
see today you look more beautiful than ever. Rapunzel: (laugh) Are you referring to the crazy things I am
doing to my hair? Oh yes, I was having so much fun.

Flynn: Thats good because now we can go get some ice cream. What do you think? Rapunzel:
I think that is a great idea, lets go!! Mother Gothel: Rapunzel!! Rapunzel: (gasps) Mother Gothel, oh Flynn what am I going to do? Flynn: Hit her with a pan, like you've hit me before. Rapunzel: Flynn! I can't do that! Go hide, go hide! Flynn: But where? Where? Rapunzel: I dont know, anywhere!! I'm coming mother Gothel! Go hide! Flynn: Uh uh uh, where do I hide? Where do I hide? I'll just go behind the mirror. Mother Gothel: I came to see how you're doing with the gift I gave you.

Rapunzel: Great mother Gothel, look how I did my hair. Do you like it? Mother Gothel: Youll take good care of it right? Rapunzel: Yes of course Mother Gothel: Lets see I have to make sure you have everything you need. Rapunzel: Oh, wait Mother Gothel, (laugh) Mother Gothel: Whats wrong Rapunzel? Rapunzel: (nervous laughter) Nothing, why dont you comb my hair in the kitchen instead? Yes, lets go to the kitchen. Mother Gothel: And why would we go to the kitchen if all your stuff is here? Rapunzel: (nervous stammering) it's because, it's because, because I'm a little hungry.

Why dont we have dinner instead? Mother Gothel: Dinner? But its only two!! Rapunzel: (Laughs) I'm so silly it must be because I'm so hungry. How about lunch? Can we have lunch together? Mother Gothel: Rapunzel!! If you're hungry, go to the kitchen and eat. I'm really not hungry. I'll wait here.

Rapunzel: Mother Gothel!! Mother Gothel:
Go eat girl, you need to eat well. What is going on with that girl? She's acting so weird. Flynn: Oh no!! What should I do, she's coming, she's coming over here! Mother Gothel & Flynn: (screaming) Rapunzel: Mother Gothel! Mother Gothel! Flynn: I'll take the opportunity to leave. Mother Gothel: Rapunzel, there was a man there.

I'm sure I saw him, I'm sure I saw him. Rapunzel: Mother Gothel, l dont know what you're talking about. There's nothing there, come Mother Gothel, I'll make some camomille tea to calm you. Storieswithdolls: Later.

Rapunzel: Ugh, finally she's gone and best of all I was able to convince her that there was nobody there. Flynn: So what do you say. Can we go for that ice cream now? Rapunzel: Oh Flynn I thought you left. Flynn: No, I found a better place to hide.

I'd invited you for ice cream and you said yes. Rapunzel: Oh Flynn, ok, lets go. Storieswithdolls: Boys and girls, I hope you liked these Rapunzel toys. If you enjoyed the video, dont forget to like it.

And, in the comments tell me which hair style you like best..

The Hippest Korean Hair Salon + Best Products for Bleached & Damaged Hair

Good morning everyone! Today, I have another hair video. I know I just did the video
on the Rainbow Hair, But then, I think it's two days after that, I went to go get it
professionally bleached, and now my hair has gray,
purple and pink in it. Subtitle presented by
innisfree Say goodbye to this hair color. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY.

So, they covered my ears, so that none of the bleach
will get into my ears and also, it protects my earrings. Say hello to my hairdresser. She's so cute. Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) I look like a superhero,
but she's bleaching my hair, and then, you guys will see.

Say hi to the captain. Yeah. Hello. He's the captain.

Say goodbye. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY. In Korea, you get to really know
your hairdresser. So we like shared
about each other's lives and she used to be a model.

Doesn't she looked like one, though? I wanna film a video with her, so, if you are interested,
comment down below. Let's film a video together. Gosh. Gosh.

She's so cute. And she's so young, she's 21,
Korean age. In the US her age would be 20. -Is it past your birthday?
-No, not yet.

-Oh, so she's 19.
-Gosh! -Nineteen.
-No way. She's so cute. It turned out a little brighter. -But it's still reddish.
-Okay.

We need to get rid of the red color more. So, first round of bleaching done. On to part two. We're switching over.
The captain is now going to do my hair.

Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) So excited. Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) We're finally going to wash this off. Oh my gosh, there's puppies in here! Okay, shampoo time. Oh, I'm so excited.

Bad angle. Wash is finished. Secret. I'm so excited to see how it came out.

-You're all set.
-Thank you. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY. This is a product that's going
to protect my scalp, because we're about to go into the dye. She's so cute.

She says I'm so cute. Oh man. He's using a special hair dye that is basically
going to treat my hair as well which is very important because my hair
is so damaged right now. And this hair dye
actually smells quite good.

It was at Lumio,
and if you guys go in and tell them that I referred you guys, you guys will get 30 percent off, so check the details
to find out where it is and, yeah, I highly wanna recommend them just because they're super nice people
and they're super hip. But the color looks
even greater outside so, I'm so obsessed
with my hair right now. So, thank you, Lumio. And I wanted to share
how I will start taking care of this because it is really important
to make sure you treat your hair with the proper oils
when your hair is bleached and damaged.

And, first, we have the Daddy-O shampoo
from Lush. And I actually picked this up
when I was in London, and it was much cheaper than Korea. Because Korea tends to double the price
of Lush products. And, at first,
when I shared it in the haul, a lot of you guys commented
saying that it dried out your hair, But, luckily,
that wasn't the case for me because I always follow up
with a conditioner and some kind of hair treatment.

So, I didn't have that problem yet. But this is helping me maintain
the color of my hair. A lot of you guys might think
that my hair color hasn't changed too much but it definitely has balanced because before,
my roots were very black and dark, but then, now, it's kinda even and the hair dresser did say that through every wash,
the color will start changing so, I'm very excited to see
how it will turn out. But the Daddy-O shampoo is the only
purple shampoo I could find in Korea, but then since I am going to America soon I think I'm gonna pick up a bigger bottle
of another brand of purple shampoo, so if you wanna recommend any,
comment down below because I will be on the search
for that purple shampoo.

For conditioner,
I have the Lush Hair Conditioner. And this is also from the Daddy-O line, and I received this as a gift
from a subscriber from Korea, so thank you so much, because I am obsessed
with how soft it makes my hair feel. And for those of you guys who use
a shampoo or conditioner bars, can you please, like, give me tips
on how to take care of it? Or like how you store it? Because I feel like every time
that water gets on it, it gets really mushy
at the very bottom, so, I would love some tips on that, but, yes,
I've been loving the hair conditioner because this also helps with the color and it definitely makes my hair
feel smooth. On days when you don't
wanna wash your hair, I highly wanna recommend
the Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo.

This is in powder form. And, I feel like this might gross you out, but I really don't wash my hair everyday, it's usually every other day or sometimes I could go three
or four days without washing my hair. My brother absolutely hates it, but honestly my hair doesn't
really get oily, so, I don't know why he's complaining. But yes, this is definitely a product
that really helps control the shine and I'm basically shampooing my hair
every morning using this.

So this powder, I fell in love. I prefer it more than sprays just because I feel like the powder lasts And the... It controls the shine better. I have two hair oils
that I wanna rave about.

And I feel like you guys already know. But, first, we have the Lucido-L
Triple Beauty Vitamin Oil, and this was first introduced to me
from Sunnydahye, and I fell in love and I needed more. So, when I went to Malaysia,
I was looking around for it, couldn't find it. But, luckily, I received about ten
of these hair oils when I was in Malaysia, so thanks to all of you guys
who brought me one I absolutely love how affordable
this hair oil is and the quality of the product.

It definitely makes my hair
feels very smooth and soft, and even though my hair is bleached
and damaged, every time I brushed through it,
it doesn't feel like damaged hair. But if you wanna spend
ten times the price, because I think
this is about three dollars, I do wanna recommend Ouai's...
Ouia? Ouia's hair oil. Compared to the vitamin oil,
it is a lot smoother in my opinion, and there's a lovely scent to it. It makes your hair smell like flowers.

And, when I was at the Lohacell event, the makeup artist and the hair stylist, she was basically complementing
the smell of my hair and I knew it was this product only because the dry shampoo
has no scent to it. So, I told her about it,
and she was, like, obsessed because I promise you, you don't even
need a perfume when you use this just because the smell lingers
and usually, when you spray perfume, I heard that if you spray it on your hair
it'll last longer. Well, this is gonna play the perfume
and the hair oil part and it'll make your hair feel super smooth. So, depending on what your budget is
for a hair oil, I wanna recommend these two.

And finally, if you're like me and you love to use hot tools
to whether straighten or curl your hair, it's very important
to use a heat protectant. And one of my favorites is this one
from Bumble and Bumble. This is the Hair Dresser's Invisible Oil, and I just love
how lightweight this feels and it doesn't make your hair feel sticky. Actually, the hair oils as well, it doesn't make your hair looking greasy
and oily, I forgot to mention, but yeah, I love this heat protectant and it's one of my favorites,
I've actually bought the bigger version.

That's it for today's video, I hope you guys enjoy the short vlog of me
going to the hair salon, as well as recommendations of products
I'll be using to protect my hair because it's very important
to take care of it now, otherwise, I'm gonna have to cut
all of it off in the future. So, I hope that this video was helpful. If you have any products
you wanna recommend, comment down below
as well as let me know how you feel about these products because I love it when
the comment sections becomes a place where everyone starts sharing
their reviews and opinions on the products because not everyone might like
the products I just mentioned now. So, let's make the comment section a helpful place for everybody
looking for products.

All right,
I'll see you guys in my next video. Goodbye! Subtitle presented by
innisfree.

What is Facebook? It's Tanya Wilson cherry my business page is Tanya Wilson Cherry Renewal Circles, so if you put my name and both of those will come up both of those will come up Thank you for asking so guys Free Webinar did somebody say free somebody could free Ya for free in the comments You're on the draw in a free webinar. I am I truly believe and I know that is true Okay, awesome that you guys can pay your salon with salon suite rent and salon booth rent Without picking up a Flatiron and so I know that that way is to retailing One of the main things that we're overlooking in our industry right is Retailing you have the opportunity the customers right there if they don't spend their money with you They're going to spend it with someone so inside the free webinar I'm going to teach you effective ways to Retail to your customers and give them the items that they actually need and that are actually going to be best for their hair So that's a free webinar guys, and then I'm going to teach you how to set strategic goals for your retailing Yes, I'm going to teach you how to set strategic goals for your retailing so that they actually pay something especially for those of you especially but not exclusive for those of you who are butrint salon owners because if you'll be honest And most bouffalant salon owners will be honest even if you have both vendors Ritzer's by the time they pay their booth rent You still find yourself paying out of pocket put it one in the comments if you know what I'm talking about Even when your razors pay you you can still find yourself paying out of pocket as a bull grant Salon owner and so guys you have to be strategic. You have to have strategies after and goals in place That will help you to Maximize all of your efforts right without coming out of pocket because oftentimes and the boot rent for line older You may have a clientele before you actually open the salon, right? And then once you open the salon you find yourself actually paying more money Out of the income that you already had because of the extra expenses of the salon so I want to teach you guys in a second way to retail right up level your professionalism, and It's going to attract a whole nother type of Clientele So I'm going to teach that in the free webinar that's on Monday, and that link is Bi t dot ly retail and profit Bi t dot ly retail and profit profit and so there are several people who follow me who have already signed up, so Guys make sure you go and get your space, and you'll meet me online right you'll see me Just like I you see me now, and I'll be able to see you And we'll talk about this thing how to maximize that retail thing and pay our salon red salon Blueprint or salon suite rent Without picking up the Flatiron the next thing that I want to offer to you guys is I have a private group on Facebook where I I just I give I give up myself I give up my Experience and my expertise, and I refreshed the group every 90 days, right? So I always take a limited amount of people and they have access to me and the group and the group members for 90 days Well this 90 day session is around the end of March so I am now Allowing people to get on the waiting list to be into that group you get Bi-weekly free classes from me you get about 70 up to 70 percent off of any classes that I give outside of the group you have an opportunity to network Network with other stylists and then you get to ask me questions right because consulting is something that I do for a living right? It's not free But it isn't a way the group is a way for me to give back right in a small setting For people who see value in the group and so for those of you who are interested in getting on that? Waiting list the group is called mind your business for the beauty industry and that link is di t dot ly myb wait list to My be weightless, too And when the group is over with this session that still this 90 days is still in session But when they're over with you'll be the first to be on the list because I only take a limit Limit to the amount of people for 90 days. So there's two things for you guys For those of you who have been following the 3D success mentorship and branding bootcamp for hair stylist and salon owners unfortunately the earlybird offer ended on yesterday but you guys still have several different ways that you can pay and There is even an option to pay weekly, and it's only $50 to save your seat for that So it's $50 to save your seat and then weekly I think it's like 62 dollars and so it may be in summits work better for you know where you are now What you have going on that opportunity is now available well It was actually available before But we were talking about the early bird special because that was a great opportunity to save I think the course is 497 Dollars and the early Bird was 197 so people had an opportunity to save about 300 bucks for That course but there are several different ways that you guys can still enroll in the class And I want to give you guys that this link it's going to send you directly to the options page and it's bi t that ly 3d pay options Bi t.

Ly 3d pay options and that will give you guys some different ways that you can pay you can also save by paying a one-Time fee That's up there as well. I think maybe a two payment option is also available for that So you guys can go there and for those of you who have no idea what really success is you can go to Bi te ly 3d success Bi Ti Ly 3D success and take a look at the eight weeks virtual bootcamp that I've created for here and salon owners and it's a mentorship and branding bootcamp my mentor is going to Help facilitate one of the classes during the eight weeks along with three other experts marketing branding money finances Growing your clientele. I made this tons of information each expert has over twenty four years experience in the industry like real experience not any fluff but real experience So for those of you who didn't know what 3d success is you can take a look at that page at B? I see that ly 3D. Success and one more opportunity I get in my inbox, Austin.

How do I work with you one on one panel? Is there a way that you can help me formulate a strategy? For my business. Thanks for joining again Christy, and you guys can go to vit that ly work with Tonya vit the ly work with Stannis, so that's for those of you who want One-on-one strategy right you don't want me to be in a classroom you want my full attention and you need services now Why I can't wait till 3 d success. I'm ready now and so guys that is it for the House business minding my business on today and we're going to get into content Successful booth rent salon y'all chapter screen, because I got some good stuff coming for you guys So let me ask you guys a question because we all know in a booth rental situation the salon owner is the Boo Printer is obligated to Market for themselves, right they're obligated to they're running a whole separate business So how many of you feel that it would be fair for the salon? Owner to market for the booth winner as well if you feel it would be fair for the one in the comments if you think It is just should never go down but the booth the salon owner should never have to market for the blueprint or put a 2 in the comments if you think they should put a 1 if you think they Should never have to do is put a tooth now. Now, legally we know they're not obligated whatsoever We know that the the salon owner for a booth rental salon is not obligated at all to market I see a one on periscope not obligated at all to market for The booth renter however these this is my take on this and then I'm going to break it down and tell you guys why? One A lot of salon owners are losing their Renter's from Salon Suite owners, that's that's one of the first reasons right and so I think about the business Absolutely, it's about the business guys and what I find is that we have many salon owners who have book rental situations who have taken taken the fact that there are separate businesses and forgotten that collectively right Everyone achieves more so you guys know hear me talk about team all the time and so as a boot rent salon owner This is my take guys although.

They are not obligated I think it would behoove them and the entire business to market for the entire salon It doesn't mean they have to do extensive marketing, but I feel from time to time It should be inclusive for the people who work there I've know situations because I've been in the industry for 20 plus years a lot of my friends I stylist and so I've heard turns if they succeed. I'm just going in the broadcast right there I'm just going in the broadcast right there because I think we're missing the point. I think that Separatism or Causes us to miss the the big picture right because I've had a mini You know stylist as girlfriend's who worked in booth rental situations where? Stuff went on so I plenty of content plenty of content for that but Think about it like disguise You know sometimes there are book rental situations where the owner may be really busy, and they get called all the time and they're turning people down and They never bother to ask anyone else in the salon can they take the client we all succeed? Yes absolutely If that wonder who that salon des yes? Absolutely And they never bother to ask the people that are working right under the roof that they're under always that although they aren't Working directly for them, but they never bother to ask them you know are you available? Can you service the client so you mean to tell me you would rather the money walk out of the building out of the door? To a whole nother Entity because trust and believe this the client is going to find someone to service them right and so if the owner is busy now now I understand I understand this here if you if you're going to give your client and the owner if you're going to give your client an Opportunity to come to you on another day That's the first thing that you do the first thing that you do is you give them an opportunity to see you? Next week or on another day, but if none of your schedule is working for them Do you just let that client walk out the door and not allow the people who are helping you pay the bills, right? You're not going to help them eat as well So sometimes we have to shift our mindset right because really God all at the end of the day It's a collective effort and the salon the booth little salons that are the most successful their service money becomes your rent and I. You know I don't understand it.

I don't understand it So you make your your booth rentals hustle you know look at sick trying to pay you the booth rent? And you've let 20 clients walking and clients that you couldn't service Walk out of the building so guys we have to remember even in a book rental situation because we're talking about running a successful Book rental salon, which is not the easiest thing to do because I think the problem is this new Era and competition not realizing It's enough for all of us Christie. Oh my goodness You know I just got some great people following me you hit it on the head Because I the mentality I just I don't understand it, right Now remember recently we're not obligated if I'm a salon owner, and I have rental chairs and iret chairs out I'm not obligated to market for you I'm not obligated to give you a client But I much rather if I can't get to the people to give them to the people. That's in my building, right? That's that's helping this whole thing go down I'd much rather give the client to them and this is what it does it creates a team effort without you guys having to Together because many people aren't making it because it's just a group of people working together instead of a team mentality listen together Everyone achieves more it's real that's also your salon Reputation cut okay now. We're going to get into this with running a successful booth rent salon It's the hairstyles on every corner What's so special about your team work always makes the dream work absolutely? Listen there's a salon on every corner and the booth rent only you have to find unique collective things that other Movement owners are not doing right that is going to help you to maintain your booth renters, right? You want to help them eat as well? It's a sizeable for you Here are some things that you guys can add when you're looking for new renters, right? One of the things you have to have some policies and procedures in place you guys hear me You somebody put policy and procedures in the comments you have to have some policies and procedures in place Right there needs to be a distinction about walk-ins, and you know there needs to be a clear Understanding about everything because it will eliminate problems later right so policies and procedures in place and when I say in place They need to be written down right some of them needs to be in the boot rent contract many people are bringing on wristers into their establishment without Interviewing them, and I think they think because the person works for themselves, they don't really have to do a full-on interview with them But guys I promise you whatever the new bull Runner does is going to affect the entire salon? When something goes wrong with the customer and they go to tell someone else The first thing they say they rarely say the person that did their hair first They usually say where they got the service done.

That's the first thing They normally say is where they receive the service that they didn't like and then the next thing They say is who did the service so the same still fix to your? Business, right and so having policies and procedures in place is a And having it written down which is all the more reason you guys have to interview Even your booth winners you gotta ask them questions guys Right do they even have enough client sales to be able to afford to pay the roof rent, right? What's their understanding of customer service because if they're treating clients? Nasty Whether you know it or not each stylist that works in that salon Their Clientele is affected by that one person who's out of order because your client in your chair She may not say anything to you But that may not be the environment that she chooses to be in so it's important that you guys are interviewing your booth winners Here's something that you guys can do right that's going to uplevel you as a blueprint for line That's going to take you a little Beyond What most booth rental salons are offering what harm would it be if you could afford it right to offer to training? To training classes per year for your book renters. I know that's like over the top I know that's like too much because you know they work for themselves. It's not my responsibility but these are the two classes that I would include in working with me these would be the Amenities of renting a booth at my place they will be offered two training classes a year I would let them know that Participation for the classes is necessary you know because you can't have a class that no one's at but I would definitely offer an and Amenity to ringing a booth in my space I would offer two classes and one would be customer service you guys don't hear me one would be customer service because people buy people First before they buy the product they decide whether or not they like the person, right? Before they ever get an opportunity to experience the product the haircut the we the color and so Having a customer service training class Yearly right for your even your booth rental salon Would be important that would be one of the pluses to working at my booth rental salon if I owned the under salon again The second class that I would offer every year it would be included in them being a renter there would be a skillset class Right it would be a skillset class now as a salon owner You may not be the best at that skill set or you may not be the best to explain customer service but you guys can always bring someone in there's a lot of Educators right that are really good that would love to come to a salon of maybe 10 people and give a class, right Let them know that twice of twice a year they have access to two free salon training Listen if your staff is trained right well, they're not staff But your booth renters are doing great work it also reflects the salon guys these are little added things that you can add To the advantages of a book runner working in your particular salon the next thing here's another one guys what if you had the salon has one main line right and Maybe this is abstract phone line and then you have 10 workers working with you And each one of them has a voicemail But when a caller calls to the the main salon line they can go to any particular Callers voicemail that they like and the booth Runners have access to go and check those messages These are just amenities guys that would make your booth rental salon Favorable for those who will want to come and rent a booth because you know Many times people are still looking for a team even though they're on their own they're still looking for a team right and so all of this is helping to build a scene and the Reputation for your salon, and it's so difficult because with a booth rental salon It's hard to create atmosphere But one of the ways you can do that is definitely by interviewing your your booth renters right and then having collective efforts of things that you guys do together like training classes at Least twice a year that you offer to them for free and if you're really good at those particular services Then you're asking pay anyone to come in to give those particular classes You just make it known at the beginning of the contract and then just let them know that participation to the classes Is necessary in order to give the class right? So those are two things that you guys can do to maintain and and have a successful booth rental salon Because there are many books rental salons who are struggling because people are going to salon suite Or they're just done with the industry or they're going to JCPenney mandatory and I didn't say mandatory because Because they work for themselves as a booth renter there but so many things that you can make mandatory so that would have to be something that you would want to have your Attorney look over or you want to go maybe to the state board website to see if you can make a training meeting Mandatory for a boot Runner because that's kind of you know. It's kind of drawing the line That's the only reason I didn't say mandatory, but I would express it to them When they're signing there before no contract that you know you are for classes, and we just ask for your participation they're free they help you up level who you are as a Stylist and one of the classes would always be customer service and the other would be some type of skill set those are two things That I would do so whether you know it or not your coworker or your booth renters Right whether you're you're a booth runner yourself or whether you were a salon owner of a booth rent setting They affect you everybody in that place Affects one another because the customer is always watching the other renters.

They're always watching the other renters So you want to do everything that you can within guidelines as a blueprint for an owner to create some type of team effort? And God as far as the free training classes that you offer to the booth winners check with your product companies and the Manufacturing companies you guys would be surprised. They'd be willing to do most of their product knowledge classes are free Did you guys know that most of the manufacturers right of your product company designed it sent you whatever it. Is that you use? Most of them are willing to come to your space and give a product knowledge class free so that could be one of the classes That you offer to your boot Renner's, right? But definitely customer service and and definitely some type of skill set those are the two that I would definitely do so we want to make sure that we have policies and procedures. We have ruled for walk-ins established and Defined and that to express them and not only did you express them, but you carry them out, right? So you still have to knit stuff in the hood you still have to knit stuff in the stuff in the bud? Although they work for themselves Thank God that'sthat's pretty much my tech.

I think those things are super major I think it will help you to run a successful bootleg salon for those of you who are looking for new renters? Those are just some ideas of some amenities and things that you can add to your offer Because now they have so many different options of where they can go right there, you know It's not like you're just interviewing them anymore. They're trying to see if they want to work with you because they have so many opportunities to go to several different places, so you guys can definitely add things like to training classes a year in your Options for your up-and-coming booth renters, and maybe a phone line where everyone has a voicemail that they can access What do you guys think I know it sounds like another expense guys? But if you can keep your renters, and it allows you to run your salon Successfully and pay your your rent instead of coming out of pocket They're just some extra things that I feel are important for you to do and we have to move out of the minds that you know that our booth renters You know are only there to exchange money They're only there to exchange money if the right if the owner is completely fooled she can't take them next week I don't understand why you wouldn't pass that client on to a boot runner who is helping to pay the bills So guys that's my take on today for those of you who joined late. I had some free opportunities for those of you Who are here stylist and salon owners in the beauty industry you can go back and catch the replay one talks about our? Free somebody stay free true, and that absolutely done somebody put free in the comments But when you go back to the beginning of the replay it talks about our free webinars that we're having on Monday March the 6th. I think it's either 8 or 8:30 you guys have to check the link free when you go I Want to teach you guys how to pay your booth rent for laundry or salon suite went rent without picking up the Flatiron and let's? Do resilience? Effective ways to retail so that you can profit so that you can stop spending the income and the money that you make from your Clients, hey Epstein.

Oh, how are you dear? Free absolutely The money that you make behind the chair you didn't open the book rental salon to just pay bills You opened it so that you can have and another stream of income right? And so you want to make sure that you're maximizing your efforts within your salon setting whether it's boot rent Or whether it's a salon where you have employees? And there's another free opportunity at the beginning of the broadcast as well for you to join the mind your business group on Facebook I only take a small amount of people every 90 days and the 90 day session is about to end and so you guys can get on the waiting list But all that information is at the beginning of the broadcast I appreciate you guys So much make sure you check the screen if I helped your business at all today tap the screen 4 hearts to show love Swipe up will run with you on periscope to share with another industry professional salon owner booth result renters and on parents on Facebook you guys can press the little share button on the left hand side to share out to another industry professional There is a way to have a successful Booth rental salon and sometimes you just gotta up level what you're offering as well ok I appreciate you guys peace Oh, thank you. John. I appreciate you so much darling. I really do I thank you guys for joining peace you.

Should I Buy a Hair Salon Franchise

Robert Edwards here from Franchise.City and
today we are going to look at Hair Salon or hair Care franchises. Before we start I want to clarify that all
franchises in this industry are different so this is going to be a very general look
at the business. What I say may or may not be applicable to
your particular franchise Firstly most salon franchises are created
with the passive investor in mind. So in most situations you can own a salon
and keep a job or other business in conjunction with owning the salons.

This is unlike many food service franchises
that require a hands on owner actively working in the store. So that's a good thing right? I can just sit back and earn money? Not necessarily. That benefit can quickly become a disadvantage
if you live in an area that makes it difficult to find and retain good staff. Without a good manager and staff to run your
store you can quickly find your location becoming locally unpopular.

And with the advent of online review sites
like Yelp, Google and Angies List it is critical to keep customers happy and your reputation
stellar so the ability to find and retain good staff is critical. Now hair salons are typically not huge moneymakers
if you own only one store. For that reason some hair franchises require
a minimum commitment of 3 locations. But remember this is essentially passive or
semi passive ownership, so financial returns should really be compared to stocks, bonds
or other type of investments not other franchises that require full time participation of the
owner.

As with other retail type franchises you will
be very much at the mercy of the location of your shop. So do your homework of how many other competing
salons of the same or different franchise there are nearby. Even take time to monitor foot traffic to the locals stores.  To
try and differentiate within the market several hair franchises have focused on niche markets
like kids haircuts, or mens only salons.

And this can be a way to attract a specific
demographic but remember will also cut down on your pool of potential customers in your
region. Here are a couple of the things we suggest
to our own clients who are exploring buying a hair care franchise, first check the FDD
for failure rates. How many have failed and are these failures
mostly found in certain territories. Some franchises do very well in certain states
and not so well in others.

Next up - if the FDD does not indicate an
earnings claim in their item 19 of the FDD, call other franchise owners. All their names are listed in the FDD. Among other questions see if they will give
you an idea of their earnings first, second and following years. After a few calls you should begin to see
a trend.

And don't forget to call a few that left the
franchise to see what happened in their situation. If you haven't heard of a SWOT analysis now
you have. A SWOT should be done really for any business
you intend to open. It stands for "Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities
and Threats" and it is these 4 things you will explore in your own proposed territory.

Look at how much your prospective franchise
is charging then call other salons locally. How do those prices compete. Remember higher prices aren't a bad thing
only in economically depressed areas. Check the local review sites.

Are the competing salons filled with bad reviews? Then you might have an opportunity to inherit
people looking for a reliable salon. Also if the same franchise you are considering nearby has good or bad reviews that will also impact your store. And here is a very simple trick to implement to see if you could find good employees at the proposed pay scale - place
an ad! It takes 5 minutes to place an ad in Craigslist
or Kijiji saying I am opening a salon in the city looking for stylists, managers, whatever
you will need and the money you will pay. That response is likely a decent indicator
of labor market conditions.

So a Hair franchise can be a good choice for
a passive investor who has the money to open several units. Some of the niche salons can also work for
an owner operator and generally provide a higher average income. Franchise.City works with most of the top
hair care franchises as well as others with passive ownership models and we can help you
identify research and compare which one might be best for you. There is never a charge for our service and
your franchise will never cost more by using a broker.

We work with over 600 franchise brands. Franchise.City is a better way to buy a franchise. Http://www.Franchise.City.

Should I Buy a Hair Salon Franchise
