MY NEW HAIRNALU English Friendly Salon in Tokyo!

Hey guys! So, I was not going to make a video about my new hair colour --I just wasn't planning on it. But, I'm so in love with it that I really wanted to show it to you guys and tell you where I went in case you want to get something done. Now, we all know I've been to several salons in Japan, and I've had good and bad experiences at all of them. But, I've never had my hair coloured where it was the exact colour that I asked for, and this time they were able to do that! It's so nice to have a colour that is now so close to my natural roots.

These are my-- I think this is my natural hair. I don't think he put any colour there. So, it's so close that I could grow this out for four or five months and it wouldn't matter because it blends really nicely. That's important for me because I'm really busy and I.

Don't want to go to the salon too often if I don't have to. In this case I had to go because I needed to change my colour for a photo-shoot for work. But, I'm so, so happy with it! I really, really like how ashy it is and how natural of a colour it looks. It doesn't look brassy and, like, fake blonde.

I feel like it could almost be natural... Obviously the highlights aren't, like, 100% natural looking, but I think it's pretty damn close. Isn't it nice? Ugh, he did such an awesome job. So, what I asked for was a base of my natural colour, and I wanted lighter ends.

So, he kind of faded the ends into this lighter, ashy-blonde colour. And then, I wanted some highlights throughout it. Just some subtle highlights, I didn't want anything too stripey. So he did, like-- They're not-- I don't know how to explain it.

They're random. There's, like, there's some more highlights here than there is over here. They're a little more subtle, and then underneath there's some light pieces as well... But overall, it's just a very dark, ash blonde through the top, then it just fades to a lighter ash blonde at the bottom.

I'm going to post a picture here of what my hair looked like before I got this done. A mess, I know. So I had tape-in extensions in my hair and I have to do a photoshoot and they asked me to colour my hair something more natural, so I had to get my tape-in extensions out because they were pink. So, I decided to go with something that I've been wanting to do for a while, which is this kind of, like, natural ombr-looking hair.

I wanted to tell you guys all about the tape-in extensions as well I'm going to make a separate video for that, so please leave any questions you have regarding tape-in extensions or other types of extensions. The ones I've used are: clip-in, uh, tape-in, and the ones that you braid in. I don't know if that's a "Japan Only" thing... I had never seen that style of extension in Canada, but they do do the braiding type of extensions a lot in Japan, but recently its been mostly tape-in extensions.

But yeah, I wanted to make a video all about those just in case you guys were interested in getting extensions because I really enjoyed the tape-in ones probably, um, out of all the types of extension, they were my favourite, so... Leave your questions down below regarding that. I got my hair done at "NALU Salon". They write it seven-six, and they pronounce it "NA-LU", so it's kind of confusing.

It's in Omotesando, so I think it's about, um, I'd say a five minute walk from Omotesando station. I'll leave their website down below. They also have an Instagram where they share pictures of hair makeovers that they have done, and all of the stylists also have their own Instagram. So I will link the Instagram of my stylist down below if you want to check out the other work he has done.

But he is just such an amazing person. He's so kind and obviously so talented, because look what he did with, like, my really brassy-looking blonde hair. He made it really, really nice. I'm so happy.

My stylist's name is Yoshi, and he doesn't speak English himself, but there are people in the salon that are rather fluent. So, if you call them and you start to speak English, there will probably be someone on the other end that can assist you when you're trying to make a reservation or something. There are many, many foreigners that go to their salon. They kind of specialise--? I don't want to say "specialise" because they do both foreign and Japanese hair, but every time I go there, there are, like, half foreigners, and half Japanese people, so it seems that people with, uh, different hair types like me --very thin, Caucasian hair-- um really enjoy their salon.

It seems that they know what they're doing with this type of hair as well, which is really, really cool, because there are not many places like that. I talked about a couple other salons I went to before, but out of all my experiences, this place is hands down the best. I don't think I will ever go to a different salon because I am so happy with them now. I'll give you guys, like, a look of the back of my head so you can see what it looks like.

I just straightened it today with an iron, and I. Think the fade is really nice, so it doesn't look that bad when it's straight. Some ombrs will be really, like-- will be a s-- really obvious line. I think this fades quite nicely, so I'm not worried about wearing it straight.

So that is it guys. I just wanted to give you guys an update on my hair colour since you were asking about it, and I really, really, really wanted to recommend this place to you, because I'm just beyond happy with it. I'm so happy with my hair! It's the first time I've been, like, this happy with it in years so it's really nice. If you have any questions about the salon or my hair style --like what I asked for-- et cetera...

Leave them down below... And I'll talk to you guys soon. Bye!.
